The Des Moines Public Library system is removing all toys, Lego blocks, board games, plush animals and other interactive children’s materials from public floors in each building. Library programs that rely on these shared children’s materials will be canceled, but most public programming is not affected; more information on which programs are canceled is available on the public calendar. The Des Moines Public Library will host a special coronavirus informational program on March 19 at Central Library with the Polk County Health Department.
