Sixty-two percent of Des Moines metro organizations say they’ve been required to making operational changes in the wake of COVID-19’s spread to Iowa, survey results released by the Greater Des Moines Partnership show. The Partnership received more than 600 responses from area organizations. When asked about biggest concerns around COVID-19, 89% said concern on the impact of local and small businesses; 80% said overall public health; 69% said impact on medical and health care professionals and systems; and 66% said the long-term impact on the U.S. economy, the Partnership reported. Nearly half of survey respondents (49%) did not anticipate needing financial assistance, but 13% of respondents are concerned their business may not overcome the financial impact. The Partnership has released full survey results online.
