Hy-Vee, Wahlburgers and the asset management firm Crescent Capital will be donating 2,000 meals to front-line workers May 13-15 via hospital drop-offs, and offering free meal pickups May 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. at the Wahlburgers West Des Moines location owned by Hy-Vee, the grocery chain announced this week. Meals will be delivered by IAFF Local 4 firefighters to the following metro hospitals: MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, MercyOne West Des Moines, UnityPoint Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center, UnityPoint Health-Methodist West Des Moines, UnityPoint Health-Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Broadlawns Medical Center and VA Central Iowa Healthcare System.
