The city of Clive reopened its playgrounds today, and plans to begin some recreational leagues and team sports on June 15, city officials announced in a news release. The city is still strongly recommending that visitors practice social distancing, limit direct physical contact and follow other safe public health practices. The decision only affects city leagues and facilities. Private leagues and facilities may hold events before June 15. The reopening of parks today also includes trails, courts and fields and city park structures. Clive City Hall, the public library and the Dymond Public Safety Facility remain closed with services provided by phone, curbside, online and appointment. Officials say the plans could be amended to align with directions from the state and public health officials.
