The Greater Des Moines Partnership and its regional economic development partners will be conducting outreach calls to local employers in coming weeks to learn more about how the coronavirus pandemic has affected their business. Information gathered from the calls will be used to help develop economic development policy and programs to aid in business recovery efforts. Businesses will be contacted throughout the region, including Adair, Dallas, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek and Warren counties. Local economic developers will help provide businesses with timely information about programs and tools that can help them recover. The business outreach program began this month. Local economic development officials will contact employers in their communities to set up virtual meetings or phone conversations.
