The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is beginning to phase back in service it reduced in March and April due to the spread of COVID-19, DART announced this week. The organization is restoring many of its local routes beginning June 28. DART has installed new temporary barriers between the fare boxes and operator seats on all buses, and will ask riders to board buses using the front doors and pay a fare to ride beginning July 1. DART will not have service on July 4 in observance of the holiday. A full list of route schedules and other information can be found online.
