Des Moines Register: Des Moines-area hospitals are reimposing visitor restrictions because of the coronavirus’ resurgence in Central Iowa. The hospitals barred most visitors in the spring, then loosened the rules in June, after the pandemic seemed to be stabilizing. But infection numbers and hospitalizations have climbed since then, leading to the new clampdown. MercyOne and UnityPoint’s hospitals in Des Moines and West Des Moines, plus Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, made a joint announcement today through the Polk County Health Department.
