Gov. Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) have announced the launch of a new Iowa County Fairs Relief Program, designed to offer short-term relief to eligible county and district fairs continuing operations in the context of a public health emergency. Up to $6 million of federal CARES Act funds are available for the Iowa County Fairs Relief Program, an extension of the Small Business Relief Grant program. The grant is offered through the IEDA in collaboration with the Association of Iowa Fairs. Award amounts will be determined based on demonstrated revenue loss from Oct. 1, 2019-Sept. 30, 2020 as compared with the corresponding period for the previous year. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. Eligibility requirements and application information is available online by clicking here.
